Tyranena Bar Bites Beer Dinner

Annnnnnd we’re back — with another Wisconsin brewery coming to our place for a Bar Bites Beer Dinner! Join us on Monday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. to celebrate Tyranena Brewing Company on the very day it began operations 20 years ago.

Tyranena brands its beers with quintessentially Wisconsin names and explores our state’s unique history and folklore. We’ll be joined by Tyranena rep Sean and head brewer Ryan, who will share more of the Tyranena legend as we enjoy a 5-course beer-paired dinner.

Here’s a working draft of the menu:

    Reception & Snacks — paired with Munich Helles, a tap room exclusive

    Goat Cheese Beignet, with honey-cayenne praline crumble, watercress cardamom pesto — paired with Peach Sour, a kettle sour wheat ale

    Course 2, under development — paired with Sheep Shagger Scotch Ale

      Poblano Papusa, fire-roasted poblano, cotija & bean-stuffed papusa, Millionaire & lime cabbage, cilantro, pickled radish, toasted coriander — paired with Lake Millionaire, an unfiltered IPA w/ Amerillo, Azacca, Mosaic & Citra hops

      Braised Beef Cheek, tomato, fennel, onion, garlic, sourdough, whipped thyme butter — paired with Summer Home Hoppy Blonde Ale

      … and dessert by Black Shoe Bakery — paired with Tapping The Sugarbush, a bourbon barrel-aged imperial porter with Wisconsin maple syrup

    Tickets are $65 and include dinner, reception, pairings, tax, and gratuity. Tickets are also available at Story Hill BKC, 5100 W. Blue Mound Rd., Milwaukee. Join us for dinner on Wednesday, May 8, to Support Stepping Stone Farms, which rescues horses that are otherwise unwanted and gives them the job of helping people see that, even though their life might be banged up a little, it can still be meaningful, worthwhile and full of love.

We’ll contribute 10% of food sales that evening to Stepping Stone, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on 5/8/19.

We’ll also feature a “wine pull” — one mixed mystery case wine, half red and half white, available for $20 per bottle. Reserve your experience at our Wine Table, a curated dining experience at a private table among our award-winning collection of wine.

Available for reservations on Fridays and Saturdays, our Wine Table experience is a 5-course wine-paired tasting menu crafted by Story Hill BKC’s chefs with our signature Upper Midwest and seasonal inspiration.

We’re rolling out the barrel for our annual Bar Bites Beer Bash.

Bar Bites Beer Bash is our annual walk-around tasting with food pairing stations on Monday, August 28. Patio Season is the Best Season

Through summer, we’re serving on our sidewalk patio in our beautiful neighborhood of Story Hill, weather permitting. Join us for weekday lunch, weekend brunch, Happy Hour cocktailing, or to enjoy our share plate-style dinner. On Saturday and Sunday, the patio is available for brunch seating starting at 10 a.m., weather permitting.

Our multi-talented manager Tracey designed our planters with herb gardens and pineapple plants. Taking in these lush and fragrant planters are worth the trip alone!

Bell’s Bar Bites Beer Dinner

We’re excited to announce the next beer dinner in our Bar Bites series, and it’s a great match-up: Bell’s Brewery of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Since opening as a homebrew supply store in 1983, Bell’s has grown to produce beloved seasonal and specialty beer in the Upper Midwest such as Oberon, Two Hearted Ale, and Hopslam.
