Fassinator-minGoose Island Fassinator

Brewed at, and in the special series honoring, the fabled Chicago brewery’s original facility at Fulton & Wood, Fassinator is a one-time-only Blonde Doppelbock. A fresh American take on a classic German style, you’re supposed to say it like Arnold (and drink it with caution – it clocks in at 8 percent).

As the Official Beer of Record Store Day, this is an “Analog Beer for the Digital Age.” A golden orange Belgian-style Tripel, it’s brewed with orange peel, green cardamom, peppercorns and vanilla. Request a song and enjoy a glass!

Many beers incorporating coffee are heavy stouts, but this is Founders’ Pale Ale, a light, golden ale, with the additional of fruit-forward coffees. Brewed with coffee roasted in it’s hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Karben4 Dragon Flutedragonflute

One of Madison, Wisc.’s best upstart brewers, three-year-old K4 set out to “Make America(n Pale Ales) Great Again!” A combination of Mosaic and Centennial hopes creates a balanced beer not as aggressive as an American IPA, but certainly not as passive as an English Pale Ale.

Founders CBS at Story Hill, Feb. 23

We’re tapping Founders Brewing Co.’s renowned CBS, the only barrel currently in Wisconsin. Tickets for a pour will be available starting on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. from your server or bartender – one per person; $13 for the value of an 8 oz. pour. We’ll start pouring at 4 p.m.

Come try the very best collaboration by our neighbors to the East and North, and the rarest offering from the largest cave-aging beer barrel program in the country. These were bourbon barrels used to age KBS, then maple syrup, and now they bring CBS to you. Price does not include tax; sorry, no growler fills. Check out our Facebook event page for updates and more.
